Basic information
[edit ]- In math, my strongest areas are differential equations, numerical analysis, elementary complex analysis, and logic. I can program in several languages, but I prefer C++. I like to browse articles related to these things.
- I enjoy reading history, economics, popular physics, and popular math. I am also a music aficionado, and a fan of boxing and MMA.
- Some favorite authors: William Manchester, Martin Gilbert, John Lukacs, Ernest Hemingway, Jack Kerouac, David Foster Wallace, Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hanson, Jack London, Mark Twain, Cormac McCarthy.

Prognosis
[edit ]Wikipedia will never be a reliable source. It is true that there are a lot of very intelligent experts here, as well as seemingly countless well-meaning smart people. However, there are also too many activists, trolls, and various other types of ignoramuses. Therefore, Wikipedia is bound to be mediocre at best, and downright wrong at worst. Between stupidity and malice, there are already an incredible number of bad articles. Oh well, it's mildly entertaining anyway - so, I'll continue to visit every now and then.
