Lady Augusta Katherine Gordon-Lennox (14 January 1827 – 3 April 1904) was a daughter of Charles Gordon-Lennox, 5th Duke of Richmond and his wife Lady Caroline Paget. She was married to Prince Edward of Saxe-Weimar.
Family and early life
[edit ]Lady Augusta was the second eldest daughter of Charles Gordon-Lennox, 5th Duke of Richmond and his wife Lady Caroline Paget, daughter of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey.[1]
Marriage
[edit ]On 27 November 1851, Lady Augusta married Prince Edward of Saxe-Weimar, a nephew of Queen Adelaide.[citation needed ] According to the contemporary British women's magazine The Lady's Realm , the union was a "love-match" that led to Edward relinquishing his place in the line of succession to the Grand Ducal throne of Saxe-Weimar.[2]
He died in 1902.[3]
