Tagging pages for problems

"Tags" are often used to indicate problems. Some Wikipedia editors object to the practice of tagging instead of fixing, but there is value in pointing out an article's problems. Tagging allows editors to specialize, teaches editors and warns readers about subpar or problematic content. It is better if people solve the problems they encounter themselves, but not everyone may be able to. Editors are sometimes obliged to justify inclusion of tags, such as in the case of Template:POV.

Constructive criticism given in a civil, respectful manner is a vital part in a collaborative project like Wikipedia, and it should be welcomed rather than discouraged. Wikipedia values contributions from everyone—novices and experts alike. It is important to listen to readers who find an article biased, confusing or unconvincing. They might not have the expertise to fix those problems, but the fact that they report them probably means that an article needs improvement.

Well, my screen name here is "Platyfish625", though I'd rather be referred to as "Platyfish124". This is due to the fact that when I first created my earlier accounts, I used common screen name, and I just used the first number that came to my head. Later, I got the bright idea of changing the number to match my birthday, January 24, 1996. No, don't bother trying to hack into my account, my password is not my birthday. Those of you who have visited my userpage before will have recognised it as being a mess of userboxes. Not anymore. I now have taken the time to write a bit about myself.

So, we've already established that my screen name is "Platyfish124", and that I was born on January 24, 1996. Now for more about me. What do you expect? This is my own personal page. As you can see from the userboxes on the right, you can tell a lot about me, though it would probably be easier to just keep reading here. I am currently a member of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, and hold the rank of Leading Seaman. This is my second training year, and I hope to have a long and distinguished career with them. It's a good program, lots of fun. This program is pretty much the only reason why I know how to 1. pitch a tent, 2. sail, 3. tie knots, 4. shoot a rifle. Not a real one, mind you. It's a Daisy Air Rifle, and we just shoot them at targets.

Let's see... what else is there to talk about... Well, I omitted the act that I am proudly Canadian, though I think I have now made it quite clear. One thing that I haven't mentioned, however, is the fact that I do enjoy collecting Canadian paper money, and do plan to contribute to some articles in that field, possibly by uploading images. As evidenced here, those pages need a lot of work at this time.

I have the unusual ability to be able to draw maps with great detail, though I do admit that greatness is relative. One person may find something awesome, the other atrocious. I mostly sketch highway maps when I'm bored (I know, that's pretty much as geeky as it gets), though I have made up an island continent of my own for a school social studies project; I think I got one of the highest marks.

Other general things about me: I can play the piano, and am at level 3 according to the Royal Conservatory of Music, I am able to play the clarinet and bass clarinet well enough to not sound like Squidward, I wear glasses, and am nearsighted.

Well, I'm sure you have more important things to do, like cleaning up articles or something. You can go now, there's seriously nothing more to read.
