Piotr Gąsiorowski (Polish pronunciation: ['pjɔtr ɡɔ̃ɕɔ'rɔ(f)ski]). Born 1960 in Warsaw. I am a linguist employed in the Faculty of English at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland [potential conflict of interest]. I run a blog (Language Evolution) devoted to discussing historical and evolutionary linguistics. A Wikipedia veteran (since 2002), I have started a number of Wikipedia articles on subjects like phonetics and historical linguistics, for example:
- Comparative method
- Grimm's Law
- Verner's Law
- Sound change
- Satem
- Centum
- Phonation (and links therein)
- Rhotic consonant
- Lateral consonant
- Click consonant
... and many other entries and revisions of entries on phonetics
- revisions to Indo-European languages
There will be more, time permitting.
