Mario Kart 9 is the 9th installment of the Mario Kart series. And it will come out on the Nintendo Switch 2, yet the actual release date is not yet known. This article will show what we already know about the game.

There are currently 20 confirmed characters in Mario Kart 9. And these characters are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Toad, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Rosalina, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Koopa, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Toadette, Birdo, and Shy Guy. There will be more characters at release, but currently this is all we know.

There are confirmed items because there are item boxes in the Trailer. But in form of what kind of items there will be is not released.

There is only one gimmick currently and that is 24 racers. In the trailer there is at least 20 racers and at the beginning there is 24 starting spots.
