This is not an encyclopedia article or the talk page for an encyclopedia article. If you find this page on any site other than Wikipedia, you are viewing a mirror site. Be aware that the page may be outdated and that the user whom this page is about may have no personal affiliation with any site other than Wikipedia. The original page is located at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Dgw.
I'm dgw (formerly Voyagerfan5761), known as "Tuvok" in my signature (a symptom of my love for Tim Russ' character on Star Trek: Voyager). I started editing here back in April 2006, and have been hooked ever since. Wikipedia has jeopardized my high school career more than once (</hyperbole>).
I am obviously very much into Star Trek: Voyager (this I've already mentioned), and not-so-obviously into technical editing and dabbling in various programming languages like JavaScript and PHP. I also like to mess around in CSS and HTML, plus helping out a bit at the Support Desk on MediaWiki.org. Most of the work I do here is minor cleanup stuff, with some recent changes and new pages patrol sessions along the way.
I get a lot of questions about my username, so let me explain a bit. The first time I ever signed up for an account anywhere, really, was on Neopets in 2002. Since "voyagerfan" was taken (I was a Voyager fan by the age of 11), I appended the current Hebrew year at that time to the username I wanted, and it was available. Since registering for Neopets, I've registered at dozens of other sites, including here, all with the same username. A Google search for my username brings up only results related to me, which is great for vanity searching. :P
Much of my info can be found in my userboxes below. (That's my excuse for being lazy and not writing more up here. :D )
Projects
Userboxes
I have created a few humble userboxes, mostly by imitation (I freely admit). If you're interested, I've listed them on a subpage.
Dan Broida
I am currently researching information on Dan Broida (the founder of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation in St. Louis, MO) to write a biography. To contribute to the project, go to the project page. To ask questions about the project, go to the project talk page.
This page
I also really, really have to give this userpage an overhaul... It's really disorganized. Vulcans (削除) hate (削除ここまで) can't tolerate clutter. :P
Userboxes
Now for some information, distributed via userboxes:
