RC-135
[edit ]Why is the Boeing RC-135 not mentioned in this template? Also, there are several recon drones not mentioned. What about the U-2? Thoughts? — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 18:18, 21 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- Because the RC-135, the U-2, and none of the drones received F- (pre-1947) or R-series (post-1947) designations, which is what this template is for. One could potentially make a case for RQ- designated drones to go in the "Reconnaissance subtypes" section, but they are already in {{US unmanned aircraft }}.- The Bushranger One ping only 23:53, 21 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- Thanks. The date requirements aren’t clear by the name. But the RC-135 was introduced in 1961. — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 00:05, 22 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- The dates aren't requirements, that's just me noting when the Reconnassiance designation prefix was changed from F- to R-. The RC-135's introduction date isn't relevant here - the fact it isn't an "R-" designated aircraft is. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:07, 22 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
