This template is not so much a substitute for Template:OEIS as a complement. That other template should be used for the first citation of the OEIS in an article. But for the second citation, and subsequent citations, this template should be used. PrimeFan 23:02, 11 July 2005 (UTC) Reply
As-of September 29, 2025:
[Template:Oeis] is mostly invoked as {oeis|...}, randomly mixed in with {OEIS|...}.
From 2011 until today, [Template:Oeis] → [Template:OEIS2C].
But why should a lowercase variation act differently from the correct all-caps version, especially when its uses seem mostly unintentional?
Today, [Template:Oeis] → [Template:OEIS]. (There are no other redirects to these.) -A876 (talk) 22:10, 29 September 2025 (UTC) Reply
