[edit ]According to Nielsen Market Metro Map 2014 (PDF), the following areas are included in the New York Metro markets:
- New York City & the Five Boroughs
- Nassau-Suffolk (Long Island, NY)
- Middlesex-Somerset-Union (NJ)
- Monmouth County (NJ, part of Monmouth-Ocean market)
- Morristown (NJ)
- Putnam, Rockland, Westchester (NY, part of Hudson Valley market)
- Stamford-Norwalk (CT)
These markets are not included in the New York Metro:
- Bridgeport (CT)
- Danbury (CT)
- New Haven (CT)
- Poughkeepsie (NY)
