Cleanup

[edit ]

Please clean up the listings in this template, including removal of underscore characters. I put a template on this page to avoid messing up the template itself, don't know if that's the right way to do it or not. Gene Nygaard (talk) 22:25, 6 January 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

I did a bit of a re-org. If Grantville Gazettes get their own list, then so should the ROF books. I moved them (in several steps) from the main works to their own group. I added an outer group to collect non-1632 works in the Assiti Shards universe. I don't know whether I should have included "By Any Other Name", which has been promised since 2004.

I don't know if The Anaconda Project should be on this list. It hasn't been completed yet, and is still being serialized in the Grantville Gazettes. If Anaconda is on this list, then so should several other novels being serialized in GG, such as Bouncing Back, Sonata and The Essen Chronicles. I left Anaconda in this list despite my doubts. I re-arranged the novel list to try to keep threaded novels together. But my BRs make the bullet dividers look ugly. And the remaining unthreaded novels then look like they should be threaded.

On the Anaconda problem, I took the publication date off it, and added the other novels-in-progress with a non-date tag.Gossg (talk) 22:26, 6 July 2012 (UTC) [reply ]

Different Name

[edit ]

According to other online sources[1] [2], this series is called the The Assiti Shards series.

Flint originally intended to write a number of non-1632 books in the Assiti Shards series. As it turned out, Time Spike has been the only one of those. In general usage, I've noticed that Flint is calling the "Germany in the early modern era" subgroup of these "The Ring of Fire" series, but everyone else just calls it "the 1632 series" or "the 163x series". I expect that this title can stay the way it is. Gossg (talk) 22:30, 6 July 2012 (UTC) [reply ]
