Information icon Hello, I'm Example and thank you for your contributions. You recently created a page in the form 'See [[link]]'; though useful, a redirect page is even more useful. You can create a redirect page by typing
#REDIRECT [[link target]]
This is very easy because this is the only thing you are required to do when performing a redirect. Redirects are more useful than See [[link]] pages because they automatically load up the target page when the original page is loaded, saving time; they are also easier to automatically monitor. This template should always be substituted (i.e., use
{{subst:Uw-sl}}). Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot.How to use:
{{subst:Uw-sl}}{{subst:Uw-sl|Article}}references a specific article{{subst:Uw-sl|Article|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-sl||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-sl|2=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.
