This template's initial visibility currently defaults to expanded, meaning that it is fully visible.
To change this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:
{{Misinformation|state=collapsed}}will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.{{Misinformation|state=autocollapse}}will show the template autocollapsed, i.e. if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar, but if not, it is fully visible.
Usage
[edit ]This template is used to tag articles related to disinformation, misinformation, and related topics. It maps what Wikipedia "knows" about these topics, to improve findability and identify gaps, and to help people understand, counter, and deal with these issues.
The "Core content" section is intended for high-quality articles that are likely to receive high traffic and be looked for by many people. Articles in that section may also be listed in other sections of the template. The "WikiProjects" section at the end lists WikiProjects that specifically focus on countering disinformation in specific areas.
If adding articles, check to see if the template includes a link to a higher level Wikipedia page (e.g. List of disinformation attacks by country) where it would be more appropriate to add your link, rather than listing individual cases of misinformation.
Please also generally distinguish from the topics covered by Template:Fraud or Template:Media manipulation.
