[edit ]Why does the page redirect here (thankfully, and i think, correctly) and Wikipedia lists her as Zilphia Hart in the song credit, but this bio never explains the name change, and doesn't even list it in the article at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jprefect (talk • contribs) 09:22, 19 December 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
Indian and Spanish heritage
[edit ]Seriously? I'm not going to delete but what's the source for this? What does Indian mean? American Indian? Subcontinent Indian? Given that her dad's last name was Johnson and her mom's last name was Howard and she doesn't look of African descent I'm going to assume *shudder* she might be of European ancestry. Not that Spain isn't Europe--they colonized half the world after expelling the Muslims and Jews from the Iberian peninsula. But somehow saying "Spanish" sounds better than Anglo-Saxon to the snowflakes of the world. Johnson and Howard aren't Spanish though unless they took on new identities for no particular reason in the middle of the Ozarks. Let's hope she has more Native American blood though than Ms. Warren.
On another note, Zilphia is a nice Americanization of the Hebrew name Zilpa/Zilpha... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.173.198.229 (talk) 01:29, 19 June 2019 (UTC) [reply ]
