Need citation for the "Jonathan Wise" assertion; I have it that in fact a "James Ellison Sligh" (1841-1923) established this, "The Nuggett," and "The Interpreter." WB2 (talk) 00:54, 13 March 2009 (UTC) [reply ]

Who shot Deputy Carlyle, contra current page content, is still a matter of dispute today. Sources for it remaining an open question include former NPS historian Robert M. Utley in his new book "Wanted: The Outlaw Lives of Billy the Kid and Ned Kelly." I shall edit the page itself, too.

Ned Kelly

[edit ]

Ned Kelly could not have possibly been in Jim Greathouse's house at the time. First, he was an Australian outlaw (bush ranger). Secondly, he was busy being hanged at about this time. Utley's book on the two is simply a comparison of their lives, lived at the same time. BiographyHound (talk) 00:42, 18 February 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
