The birth name of Heisenberg was Werner Karl Heisenberg, but it is shown along with his birth date in the Personal Info section. Despite the editor displaying it without issue, the problem persists . Anyone need to fix that. Steven Willers (talk) 15:30, 23 November 2024 (UTC) Reply

- The quote is apocryphal (some say "almost certainly fictional"); in slight variation, it has also been ascribed to Horace Lamb. Without a solid source, it should not be added to the article. --Qcomp (talk) 09:24, 8 February 2025 (UTC) Reply
In the Membership in the Uranverein section, when citing source [94], the sentence as written is: "adapted to the intelligence level of a Reich Minister", as is often done when presenting complex and cutting-edge scientific concepts to laymen. However the addition implies that either Heisenberg or the source quoting Heisenberg did not mean to insult the Reich Minister, which is not implied in the source material. - Confirmed: the Macrakis source does not dispute the (imo self-evident) reading -- she also finds it amusing enough to quote verbatim without further comment:
- IM, Werner Heisenberg, 26 February 1942: "Die theoretischen Grundlagen fur die Energiegewinnung aus der Uranspaltung." After the war Heisenberg wrote to Goudsmit that the talk was "adapted to the intelligence level of a Reich Minister of that time." - So, the rest of the sentence trying to cast it as somehow judgment-neutral looks like pure invention.
