Clarifying location

[edit ]

I noticed that an edit I made about the location of the transmitter was reverted. I should have clarified why I made the edit in the first place, and backed up why I did it.

"The transmitter site is Gunn Mountain, in Winchester. There are reports circulating that it is on the same land that was home to WRLP-TV, channel 32's transmitter, a local NBC affiliate repeating WWLP-TV's programming, until April 1978, when the channel 32 transmitter was dismantled and shipped to Utah, where channel 32's owner, William L. Putnam, was starting a new station."

The site of the ex-WRLP-TV still has the mast built in 1966 on it. http://www.necrat.us/gunhill.html has pictures of the mast in its current state. I personally have pictures taken a month ago of the mast without any FM broadcast equipment on it. http://oi63.tinypic.com/2v339uh.jpg. This is the google maps location for the WRLP tower https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7603201,-72.433055,289m/data=!3m1!1e3. The site for WYRY is located shortly northwest of here at https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7758357,-72.4531571,147m/data=!3m1!1e3. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.222.108.6 (talk) 04:18, 15 November 2015 (UTC) [reply ]
