  • Category:History of Portugal : lots to remove there
  • Template:Regions of Portugal : statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

          [edit ]

In the First Voyage section, four famous navigators are listed, among whom a certain Afonso Gonçalves is listed. Who is this navigator and where did this information come from? I found a link to his namesake (Afonso Gonçalves Baldaia), but he lived earlier... -- Karavadgoo (talk) 16:26, 17 August 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

          Semi-protected edit request (22-12-2024) - "the" missing

          [edit ]

The first sentence of the second paragraph of the introductory section of this page reads: "His initial voyage to India by way of Cape of Good Hope (1497–1499) was the first to link Europe and Asia by an ocean route, connecting the Atlantic and the Indian oceans." As you can see, there is a "the" missing between 'of' and 'Cape of Good Hope'. I request for this 'the' to be added. Mark B Welsh (talk) 07:17, 22 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
