Retitle

[edit ]

I think Vaivasvata Manu is a more widely known name then Shradhadeva. Any objections if I retitle the page? Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 10:32, 23 August 2015 (UTC) [reply ]

Shraddhadeva ManuVaivasvata Manu – Vaivasvata Manu is far more common in WP:RS than Shraddhadeva Manu. Eg. [1], [2], [3], [4]. Even in the past, another user also proposed this move but no one responded. .245CMR.👥 📜 04:43, 16 June 2021 (UTC) [reply ]

@Anthony Appleyard: No they are the same, the name Vaivasvata Manu is derived from Vivasvan (his father who is also called Surya). Shraddhadeva is an uncommon epithet which means "husband of Shraddha"..245CMR.👥 📜 12:58, 16 June 2021 (UTC) [reply ]

@Anthony Appleyard: Also, the revision which you are referring is not supported by reliable sources. You may check Vaivasvata Manu's children in the sources which I provided..245CMR.👥 📜 13:02, 16 June 2021 (UTC) [reply ]
