Where should we mention the Route 460 Connector bridges over Grassy Creek in Buchanan County?

[edit ]

It seems notable, as the tallest bridge (actually two bridges) in Virginia and the largest design-build project in the Commonwealth. Per http://amtengineering.com/markets/transportation/highways-bridges/2275-2/ : The project begins at the Kentucky state line with widening and realigning a .8-mile, four-lane highway and includes an access ramp to Route 80 and a bridge across Route 768 along with the 1,700-foot twin Connector Bridge. See also:

This bridge is also referenced in Wilson Creek Bridge. It's been described as another of these bridges to nowhere, at least until it's opened to traffic, but apparently some scofflaws are already driving around the orange cones and strategically placed piles of gravel and using it.

Oh, maybe this was a reference to it? @Nyttend:? WarGamesRoom (talk) 19:02, 28 April 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

The "this" link refers to a never-completed route between Petersburg and Suffolk. Current route, with Petersburg in the northwest. Something in Buchanan County is very far away; Route from Petersburg to Grundy, the Buchanan County seat. Nyttend (talk) 02:38, 29 April 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Changing the title

[edit ]

Maybe change the title to "U.S. Route 460 in Virginia and West Virginia"? Zebra4938 (talk) 00:54, 8 June 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
