Reorganization

[edit ]

Would anyone like to help me organize this article into sections? Perhaps something like:

  • Life
  • Art
    • Music
    • Writing
    • Painting
  • Tupper vs. the IRS
  • External Links
  • References

Clarity

[edit ]

"Fearing possible retaliation for the revelations made in Tennessee Waltz" is rather vague.

Some portions appear to have been entered via OCR, as there are odd words and spelling problems. I don't know enough about the topic to make proper edits. -- 68.83.72.162 (talk) 02:31, 27 October 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

"American criminals" x-ref

[edit ]

Hi-- I'm speaking for the family, so will make no pretence of objectivity. The category reference to "American criminals" grates on me, because I think of my father as more an American protestor or an American idealist than an "American criminal." When he went to jail, it was because he stuck to a principle. He thought he was acting in the best interests of the country (not just his own interest). One may disagree, but still it seems inappropriate to put him in the same category with Al Capone and Son of Sam. I would be happier to see him in the company of Henry David Thoreau, under "American tax resisters." (Of course, I could do it myself, but I would rather get a discussion going among the community.) 67.186.135.137 03:27, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Haun Saussy[reply ]
