The methods described in Wolf trap can be applied to any mammal being hunted in a trapping pit. Wolf pit already redirects to Trapping pit. --Animalparty-- (talk) 22:06, 15 January 2014 (UTC) [reply ]
- Oppose - the Spanish wikipedia has a separate article for a reason, local cultural significance in Spain. And also this is "a chase ending in a pit" not just a pit. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:53, 16 January 2014 (UTC) [reply ]
- I do see that the Spanish article Lobera (caza) is more detailed, but also lacking in sourcing. The given reference for Wolf trap in context seems like a dictionary definition (although I can only read the preview). If the English article was more developed, and the cultural/historical significance expanded, the differences between a lobera and other forms of wolf hunting (see also Wolf_hunting#Trapping_pit) might become more apparent. If not, then perhaps a merge with Wolf hunt is more appropriate, with discussion of the lobera type/method there.--Animalparty-- (talk) 07:58, 16 January 2014 (UTC) [reply ]
