This article is written in British English , which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Overlap with "Trainband" article?

- I concur, needs a merge. Ostensibly "trained bands" referred to the practice in England while "trainbands" referred to the practice in America, but neither article links to the other Jorts2jants (talk) 15:21, 22 May 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
- Agree with the idea of a merge. The references in both articles seem to use Trained bands (or similar) more often, so that would seem to be the more appropriate target page for the merge; of course Trained band (currently a redirect) might be better to use the singular form for the title.
