  • Support: I was originally going to suggest moving it to 2024 Trångsund School shooting as the article said that was the name of the school, but on closer examination the name of the school is actually "Trångsundsskolan" (which does translate to "Trångsund school" with a lowercase). Anyway, this is not one of the most recognizable school shootings even in Sweden, making it fail WP:NOYEAR due to recognizability issues and it lacking a special common name as WP:NCWWW says that most event article titles should say when, where, and what. Now, I do wonder if it would actually be better to move it to 2024 Stockholm school shooting per WP:COMMONNAME which is about English-language names. Trångsund is not very easy to understand for a non-Swedish audience. I'd like to hear other editor's thoughts about moving the title to [year] [city] school shooting.     Most sources refer to it as the Trångsund school shooting. No sources refer to it as the Stockholm school shooting, at most they call it the "shooting that occured at the Trångsund school in Huddinge" . See for example the Viertola school shooting, Viertola is not widely known worldwide yet the article is not called the "Vantaa school shooting" AFeatherlessBipehead (talk) 09:41, 1 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
I swear yesterday I had found a few articles using the wording "Stockholm" in their title (which I obviously should've linked when making the suggestion), but I was only able to find a single one today (which was from a not so reliable source so I will not link it). I also support the move to 2024 Trångsund school shooting. Although I would for consistency's sake then also want to move the Kungälv school shooting to 1961 Kungälv school shooting and the Örebro school shooting to 2025 Örebro school shooting. Also btw @Raskuly I understand completely were your confusion came from, I just noticed that there are two places called "Trångsund" (Trångsund (Huddinge) and Trångsund (Stockholm)).
