1808 DC telephone directory

I think that the image caption for the map is erroneous. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe telephones had been invented in 1808. Was this supposed to be 1908? SchuminWeb (Talk) 22:10, 29 June 2006 (UTC) [reply ]

Several errors in article

I'd like to see documentation on some of these facts. The through lanes on 14th street were put in place long before the 1980s. I have a photo from 1943 with those lanes in place. The underpass was built in the 1950s. There were never streetcars on that part of Massachusetts Avenue. The only streetcar underpass ever built was the Dupont Circle stop. And SchuminWeb, you're right about telephones. I think we can do better for a picture anyway. I'm going to go ahead and make some corrections. SDC 06:47, 2 July 2006 (UTC) [reply ]
