Talk:The Beloved (2026 film)

As prestigious as it is for screening films, the Cannes Film Festival is not an end source to define the countries of production for a given film (it is not a particularly relevant source to establish production details). While this question is not always straightforward and sometimes there are discrepancies between sources to handle, the case is pretty much clear-cut here. Relevant secondary and primary sources ( ) establish the film as Spain-France co-production (while French outfit Le Pacte is generally credited as a co-production company ). Needless to say,the film probably secured Creative Europe MEDIA funding because of being a co-production between EU countries. There is no such thing as a definitive source (and the cannes official festival webpage is not even close to be a good candidate for it); all sources must be analysed critically. until reviews state otherwise, we shall go by what Cannes says is an asinine statement, as if there were no other sources available. In a nutshell, just because the festival is premiering the film, it does not mean it is endowed with epistemologically gatekeeping our understanding of it.
