I wouldn't really classify this as a fork. Black September covers the broader conflict, including the internal conflict between the monarchy and Palestinian factions up until July 1971. On the other hand, this article focuses specifically on the Syrian invasion of Jordan, which is more of a distinct theater within a larger conflict, similar to other articles like the Turkish invasion of Syria during the Syrian civil war and the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait during the Gulf War. Fork is any article duplicating another. I neither see original content not covered in Black September nor significant coverage about it in RS to fulfil WP's notability guideline, so I will be proposing the merge. Makeandtoss (talk) 08:14, 28 December 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
