Proposal to redirect Almer to this article

[edit ]

I have added a {{mergeto }} tag to the Almer article as it is only a very short stub, I am unsure if enough information has been published about the village, and as it is in Sturminster Marshall parish, I have suggested a redirect based on the guidelines in WP:UKCITIES (there is not much to merge) unless it has potential to be expanded. --Snigbrook (talk) 23:45, 23 June 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

I agree with this. I have just added some infomation to the Almer article but I believe that the article should be merged as there is little information available.Wouldcutta (talk) 21:38, 23 October 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Village name.

[edit ]

Despite what the church website says, St Mary's didn't contribute to the village name as it only dates to the 13th century and the village dates back to at least the 9th century to appear in Alfred's will. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 20:36, 4 March 2021 (UTC) [reply ]
