Compare capability and development with Merlin
[edit ]- Was it developed before or in parallel with the Merlin ?
- Did it have similar gimballing arrangements to the Merlin ?
- What prior engine was it based on or does it most resemble ?
- How much can it be throttled (even if not needed on 2nd stage) ?
- Was it ever tested at ground level - statically or in a rocket ?
