[edit ]"Sidus Ludoviciana" is ungrammatical Latin. It should be "Sidus Ludovicianum." I have not yet checked who spells it which way, but the latter is the name I learned back in the 1970s. 97.80.136.16 (talk) 23:58, 30 January 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
- I've seen both spellings. Also Stella Ludoviciana, used by Simbad although it seems to be much less common. I have the impression that Ludoviciana is slightly more common, but Wikipedia may have distorted the usage. Ludovicianum is used by both Allen and Burnham, pre-WP sources. I can't find the original publication online. German Wikipedia has a longer article, but doesn't really give anything definitive. Lithopsian (talk) 11:56, 31 January 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
