Keith Gumbs

Hi all,

Can anyone find any clarification on Keith Gumbs' international goal tally? The 47 goals stated on this page seems to be an inflation along with his caps count as it's unlikely that St Kitts played 130-odd official games in Gumbs' career. The statistic given by NFT has Gumbs at 40 appearances and 23 goals but misses his goal at the 1993 Caribbean Cup therefore is not a definitive source. Felixsv7 (talk) 11:25, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

It's possible. St Kitts played 130 matches during Gumbs career so that might just be a typo (the likelihood that he played in every single game over a 22 year period is quite small though). I don't know if games like those against St Martin or Sint Maarten would count as full internationals but most would. The results page also has almost 100 goals unaccounted for during that period so he'd only need to score 20ish of those which isn't outwith the realms of possibility. @Stevie fae Scotland: Fair, I've just changed his cap/goal number to align with National Football Teams' data until a better source comes along. Both previous changes to his caps (131) and goals (47) were made by IP addresses with no other edits so it doesn't scream legit. Felixsv7 (talk) 11:17, 26 January 2022 (UTC) [reply ]
