[edit ]Numerous suggestions - we have Ponteland, Ashington, and Seaton Delaval so far. Any idea which is correct? Giant Snowman 15:14, 26 June 2016 (UTC) [reply ]

- wow, seems likely to be from Northumberland anyway? Possibly moved around a lot as a kid or just lived in the middle of nowhere so mentioned nearby villages to where he grew up? Pure speculation of course.--Echetus Xe 23:13, 26 June 2016 (UTC) [reply ]
I have family in Ashington & was told when he scored his only goal for Everton vs Man.Utd, that this is where he is/was 'from', however, that doesn't necessarily mean it's his Birthplace?? Everton F.C. records state it is his POB, but Ponteland gets a mention too?...& they're 18 miles apart
