- Merge - Either Ugandapithecus major is the junior synonym of Proconsul major , or Ugandapithecus major is the new name for Proconsul major. Either way, they are the same species, and should only have one article. - [Proposed by NessieVL on 12 February 2019]
- Merge both into Proconsul with a discussion of the various taxonomic suggestions that have been made. --Kev min § 17:31, 31 July 2019 (UTC) [reply ]
