[edit ]Hello. I noticed under the "Motivations" section of this article, that "reducing heat dissipation" is cited as a power management feature desirable for laptops. I think dissipation is not the correct word, as this is actually a fundamental goal of laptop design, accomplished in part by heat sinks and fans. I believe power management features simply serve to reduce the heat generated, not prevent the dissipation of generated heat. I have never commented on a page before, and therefore have not edited it. Thanks for a good article and I hope this is useful. (Anonymous)
- You are correct. I have changed the phrase to "heat dissipation requirements", which I think makes more sense. Oli Filth 19:48, 19 August 2007 (UTC) [reply ]
