What? Citation?

Ali Jameel beat Plok on March 29 2006. A video will be available on request. This day will forever be known as St.ScottWilsonSmells's Day. What does this mean? It seems like it doesn't belong...

Unencyclopaedic Passage

Latest comment: 16 years ago 2 comments2 people in discussion

Plok's token power-boosting pick-up are shells, and they look so lovely and chubby that you get a strange, compulsive urge to nab as many of them as you can. They also award extra lives and serve as ammo for a special amulet, so they're functional as well as pretty. Never has a small pick-up added so much to a game's experience

Does anyone else think that the wording of this passage is a little, well, unencylopaedic?Stovetopcookies 09:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC) Reply

What is all the nonsense about there being many Plok-like people who have "moved away and/or evacuated"? How does the author justify calling this assumption "safe"? This is 100% speculation (which is absurd anyway, given that this is a fictional video game), and furthermore it doesn't even border on relevancy. Let's take it out. Fair use rationale for Image:Plokbox.jpg

Image:Plokbox.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:38, 6 June 2007 (UTC) Reply

The first part of the blurb says that the game was released in the US first in 1993, and later in Japan and Europe. The infobox says differently. Which is right? Tim (Xevious) (talk) 07:01, 5 February 2008 (UTC) Reply

Start-class?

Hi, so despite being Start-class, this article (in my opinion) is beyond Start-class, so maybe it should be a C/B-class? I dunno, at least we should do a peer review after it still doesn't meet the B/C-class criteria. LucianoTheWindowsFan (talk) 22:16, 16 May 2021 (UTC) Reply

We ended it. We decided to give it a B-class, as per Rater. If there's any inaccuracies, please talk to me. LucianoTheWindowsFan (talk) 19:30, 27 August 2021 (UTC) Reply

Hi, I'm just a drive-by user. I noticed that Nutellafrenchtoast hasn't contributed signifcantly to the article, or has informed other editors of a GAN nomination on its talk page. Pinging the user just in case. I'll also ping HumanxAnthro, since they are also a significant contributor and might seem interested in this nomination. Sparkl talk 12:29, 19 September 2022 (UTC) Reply
I did not plan on this getting nominated, and he did not inform me. I'm requesting this close because I remember not completing the legacy section, which included how the comics were going and more from retrospective interviews with the Pickfords from NLife. Please close this. Thank you for the ping User:HumanxAnthro (Nina CortexxCoco Bandicoot) 17:48, 19 September 2022 (UTC) Reply
I see, and no problem. Seems like a fail or withdrawl would be the best case scenario here if Nutellafrenchtoast won't respond soon. Sparkl talk 22:23, 19 September 2022 (UTC) Reply
Blue Pumpkin, I am not the one that nominated this, plus if I did, there would be some clean-up in terms of cite formatting and prose. User:HumanxAnthro (Nina CortexxCoco Bandicoot) 17:49, 19 September 2022 (UTC) Reply

I was attempting to research the claim that Miyamoto named this game one of his favorites, but the citation given leads to a deleted archive.org page.

The following link does not work. https://archive.org/details/Retro_Gamer_UK_122/page/74/mode/2up 2601:201:897E:9680:4894:402B:DC67:8793 (talk) 15:48, 18 February 2025 (UTC) Reply

Source for Genesis port of Plok, plus dead links?

https://x.com/KevEdwardsRetro/status/1656785562571882498/photo/1 Found this tweet linking to a magazine article where the Pickfords talk about the Mega Drive Plok port. Could most likely find the original magazine given enough searching on archive.org.

In other news, the Zee-3 website seems to be down and most of the links from there should probably be replaced with archive.org screencaptures. sanodigy (talk) 23:29, 28 February 2025 (UTC) Reply

Wait I'm stupid the interview is already linked within this article. The Zee-3 website being down still stands though. sanodigy (talk) 23:35, 28 February 2025 (UTC) Reply
