Tightened up prose

Per a discussion on WP:AN/I, some of the copy here was too close to the source from which it was obtained. The amount of rewording necessary when using a source is always difficult, especially since Wikipedia is a secondary source and does not allow original research. When in doubt, Omit Needless Words, per The Elements of Style. In particular, take out adjectives. I tightened up some of the prose, which had a promotional style.
