Periodic Breathing not just infants
[edit ]I was looking up this topic because the machine the doctor prescribed for my apnea included monitoring the percent of time I engage in periodic breathing. I have seen different definitions, so a wikipedia article would be helpful. All my breathing is periodic...
It's a puzzle. The information with my machine says it does not affect treatment. So if it is irrelevant to treatment, why even measure it...Conscientia (talk) 18:06, 23 October 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
Periodic breathing can be an indicator of other problems, particularly congestive heart failure and particularly among older men. So if you're having periodic breathing you should discuss with doctor so he can do other checks.
