Please advise

I used to be an investigator, worked for lawyers, so I checked this company out, probably too thoroughly, but anyway

Peermusic is not a corporation, legally. It is registered as an "assumed name" by the New York Dept of State. There is a corporation called Peermusic Ltd., but if you look closely, it was incorporated in 1955 as Pera Music Corp, and changed its name later

https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_ny/24648 <<< this is the company

New York Dept of State website won't let you directly link to a corporation's details, go here and look it up https://apps.dos.ny.gov/publicInquiry/#search

for Southern Music Publishing Co., Inc., you will find an assumed name 'Peermusic', filed in 1994, and still active

Maybe I missed a Delaware corporation somewhere

but 'Peermusic' is a trade name as far as I can tell Tillywilly17 (talk) 05:20, 24 August 2021 (UTC) PS this article looks like a copy from its website[reply ]

https://www.justice.gov/atr/public/ascapbmi2015/ascapbmi30.pdf Nov 20, 2015 — Peermusic is the trade name for a group of music publishing ... ASCAP lyric writers who were signed to his ASCAP affiliate, Southern Music.
