Re lead to short and technical: the main problem, I believe, is that the 5G Core and Control and User Plane Separation pages are missing at the moment. The first is still quite vendor specific/proprietary in its evolution to create an unbiased generic page about it, while the second might be a sub-section of the Software-defined_networking page.
Re refimprove: this is a protocol entirely and exclusively specified in the standard at the first reference. I don't think that additional references can be added, or would improve things at this time.
