distant opposition

[edit ]

Hi, I think the link to distant opposition is broken - I would like to see it filled in as I am learning about distant opposition at the moment. 210.84.30.107 (talk) 05:19, 6 February 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Do you mean the link to "distant opposition" in the introduction? It takes you to the "distant opposition" section of the article. Bubba73 (talk), 05:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Kd5

What about 2.Kd5! when all black moves allow white to gain the opposition —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.155.146.2 (talk) 23:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

In the Gligoric-Fischer game? Then 2...Kb7 and black gets the diagonal opposition. But that keeps the white king from getting to a key square, so it draws. Remember that opposition is a means to an end - talking the opposition isn't always the right thing to do. Bubba73 (talk), 23:15, 8 September 2008 (UTC) [reply ]
