Bertil Lintner's article in The Irrawady of 16 Aug 2021
[edit ]I incorporated important changes based on Lintner's article: ‘All Lies!’: Myanmar Junta’s Clumsy Propaganda Has a Disturbingly Familiar Ring. I don't know if this is controversial or not, but Wikipedia is for publishing verifiable facts published elsewhere, and that's the case here. The previous version of this wikipedia page claimed that the older New Light of Myanmar was "nationalised in 1969" but there is no reference for that information. The previous version also gave 2 different years for the renaming of the government's newspaper, 1989 and 1993. I left only 1989 but I don't know for sure. --Bmaisonny (talk) 16:23, 16 August 2021 (UTC) [reply ]
