Two tunes

Miles actually wrote and recorded two completely different toons named Milestones ; the earlier one was recorded with Parker's quintet in 1947, but released under the name "Miles Davis All-Stars" Savoy 934: Miles Davis All-Stars - Milestones / Sippin' at Bells the 78rpm single was the very first record released under Miles' name ; it should probably be mentioned here, if only to disambiguate, I've described the recording session and the resultant 78rpm releases briefly in the page for the First Miles album, along with citations ; other than the 1947 toon being his first ever record I'd say this 1958 track was the far more important of the two, being his first major track in the modal style and all J Edward Malone (talk) 16:49, 3 July 2014 (UTC) [reply ]

This leaves no room for ambiguity.

I've used this scheme on several different articles with great success.
