The Lottery Ticket's Value

[edit ]

In both the Project Gutenberg version (the version transcribed from not listed), and the Google Books version, a 1905 Doubleday edition, the value of Trina's lottery ticket, and the subsequent amount stolen and fought over, is 5000,ドル not 15000ドル as is currently stated in the article. In both versions the money is invested at six percent, bringing a return 25ドル per month, the correct amount a 5000ドル investment. It's possible that in later editions the value was raised, but the original seems to have been 5000ドル. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:648:8403:E550:95C3:D0C7:2FF1:D84D (talk) 06:02, 9 October 2016 (UTC) [reply ]
