Talk:Maurandya

The Plant List is confused, unfortunately, as to the species included in Maurandya. For example, here it says that Maurandya acerifolia is an accepted name, derived from a Tropicos entry. But if you follow the link given to the Tropicos entry, it has Mabrya acerifolia as the accepted name. As of now, Tropicos follows Elisens (1985) in including 4 species in Maurandya. The alternative is to follow Sutton (1988) and put Maurandya antirrhiniflora in Maurandella and Maurandya wislizeni in Epixiphium, which The Plant List claims WCSP (in review) does – but I don't have confidence in the way The Plant List has combined sources because of the errors noted above.
