Contemporary photo?

[edit ]

We really should get an additional photo from within the last 40 years ... having only a photo from her That Girl period makes it look as if that is still all she's known for. Lawikitejana 04:40, 11 December 2006 (UTC) [reply ]

Bad mouthing biographies are OK now?

[edit ]

Why is that biograph being used as a source? I remember trying to use a bio for a different celebrity and another wikipedian tearing me a new one for it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.251.169.69 (talk) 23:46, 24 March 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Pre Nose-Job

[edit ]

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to post in her bio, but Marlo Thomas appeared with Ryan O'Neil in the Dobie Gillis episode "The Hunger Strike" under the name Margaret Thomas before she had her nose bobbed. It's a small role, but one of the only times you can see how much she looked like her father. In April of 2008, she is appearing at the George Street Playhouse in a comedy by Elaine May called "Roger is Dead" in what is being announced as an out-of-town tryout for a New York City production.Rarmin (talk) 20:49, 17 April 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Just to add to this section. It should be noted of the very obvious plastic surgery she has had.Factcorrect12 (talk) 20:38, 29 November 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Cosmetic surgery among professional actors is EXTREMELY common, especially among women -- they are judged very harshly if they don't look perfect... in fact, they are often if not usually TOLD to by some manager or agent or somebody. Go ahead and mention it in the article if you want, but you needn't make a big deal about it as if nobody else does it. Even Marilyn Monroe had a nose job. Just sayin'. 192.54.250.11 (talk) 19:34, 30 January 2013 (UTC) [reply ]

There might have been more than one nose job and plastic surgery generally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.146.216.125 (talk) 14:23, 2 June 2019 (UTC) [reply ]

Special Victims Unit

[edit ]

She looks like the woman with the recurring role on Law and Order:Special Victims Unit, and this article says she is the actress, but I can't recall her ever having been credited in the episode credits. For some reason I remember seeing Mary Steenburgen's name several times. --Selfish Gene 2009 (talk) 01:57, 14 January 2009 (UTC) [reply ]

Years

[edit ]

the years for her shows and movie releases were removed without reason. if there is a reason for this removal of information, please explain it here or in the edit summary, or discuss it first. i restored them. they may need better references. It is easy to add these references. Just see imdb.comDogru144 (talk) 06:46, 24 February 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

Marlo Thomas

[edit ]

There is an error on the Marlo Thomas page, under section "That Girl" at the end of second paragraph referring to Marlo being the 3rd woman to produce a series... Betty White was not included in the list of women producers. According to Wiki's Betty White's page, she produced and starred in the first tv sitcom "Life with Elizabeth" which first aired Oct. 1953. I am new to Wiki as an editor and I do not know how to add/correct this info on the Marlo Thomas page. Could you add it for me? With my thanks, CharlotteILL 3/31/2022. "Betty White was not included"
Thanks for the info. Ms White inserted. PRR (talk) 16:58, 2 November 2022 (UTC) [reply ]
