Well, maybe I've been away from the standards bodies for too long, but I didn't think TCP/IP belonged to the OSI model. OSI is 7-layer, and TCP/IP comes from a short-stack model, which has 4 layers.194.74.2.72 15:23, 9 January 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

  • U r right on the same. But MMS gained popularity only after adopting the same over TCP/IP with an adaptation layer inserted in between (ISO transport over TCP - RFC1006). The same is also detailed under this article. Fahidka (talk)
