What I cut

  • Removed most of discussion of The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast as better served by its own article. The album & its outfall are at best peripheral to a musician with such a thorough c.v.
  • Removed much discussion of Judas Priest: better served under Judas Priest.
  • Removed hype, for instance a concert mainstay that has come to be regarded as one of the band's classics.
  • Gone is gratuitous name-dropping of the various well-known musicians that appeared in Binks' career.
  • The near-entirety of what I removed was in any case unsourced.

One question: is it proper to tag him as a "heavy metal" drummer if one of the premier heavy metal acts felt that he's far too jazzy?
