The concrete buildings were formed to make the island look (from a distance) like a battleship.

This sounds very doubtful, it looks a fairly standard Battery Control tower like many others. --jmb 00:35, 16 September 2006 (UTC) [reply ]

The concrete buildings make the island look (from a distance) like a battleship - that edit sounds better. --jmb 09:09, 16 September 2006 (UTC) [reply ]
It sounds as if they might have been intentionally made to look like a battleship during WWI - I was told that masts, rigging etc were erected to make the outline look like one specific ship. Must investigate further. --jmb 20:46, 21 September 2006 (UTC) [reply ]

Both Inchgarvie and Inchmickery could be mistaken for naval vessels from a distance IMHO. --MacRusgail 14:45, 12 August 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

This is true, I have seen Inchgarvie but since i'm not usually granted that perspective of the forth I've not seen inchmickery but its likely to be true --86.153.2.246 00:42, 11 November 2007 (UTC) [reply ]
