This page should not be speedily deleted because this person is an internationally recognized speaker that has shared her story continuously since the age of 6 worldwide. She has many news articles written about her since that age, and has appeared on multiple talk shows and around the world talking about her story. She was the face of AIDS activism as a child throughout the 80s, famously appeared at the Republican National Convention, and was one of the most requested updates on Oprah's "Where Are They Now." I'm confused as to how she doesn't meet notability standards, or how what I've written doesn't establish her notability enough. --Ataraxies (talk) 13:11, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps a footnote or added to a list of most requested updates on Opra would be more appropriate. Her notoriety in the '80s was minimal at best, revolving entirely around an appearance with Magic Johnson. Simply being an 'activist' with no history of significant activism beyond superficial, marginal advocacy, does that warrant a page in an encyclopedia? Was she a leader in any organizations? Does she have a significant backlog of written articles or papers? Is she a major donor or face of any advocacy programs or groups, are these programs or groups significant and size and activism? Tens of millions of people have 'appeared' at the RNC; should we make a page for all of them, or even a list?
