Hansard of 6 July 1972, columns 939 onwards has Amendments being proposed that would have kept Warley and West Bromwich separate, separate North Staffordshire and South Staffordshire authorities, and also, rather oddly, an amendment that appears to keep Sutton Coldfield as a metropolitan district by adding bits of Birmingham to it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.66.226.95 (talk • contribs) 18:07, 14 August 2006
