The issues with this article are claimed to be tone and POV. Unfortunately, the user(s) who added the template hasn't left any justification in the talk page so I don't know what concerns they had. The article seems well-written and covers the subject comprehensively. It's also very well-cited. Many of the citations are to scholarly works like Jamal Malik's book "Islam in South Asia: A Short History". I propose that this template be removed.
As mentioned previously I'm removing the template. Czar-peter-123 (talk) 02:47, 13 September 2021 (UTC) Reply
Why does the section on Islamic Curriculum contain a photo of a woman reading from the Sikh scriptures? It would seem to have no connection to that section, or this article more generally.Bill (talk) 07:38, 13 June 2025 (UTC) Reply
- The name of the image is "File:A woman reciting the Gita at the Sadh Belo temple on the special occasion of the 150th death anniversary of Baba Bhankandi Maharaj.jpg". Someone has vandalised the image description. I will correct it to proper definition Weichan123 (talk) 07:26, 29 June 2025 (UTC) Reply
The Demographics section is mostly about Historical population. I don't think much detailed info regarding Hindu population at 1901,1931 or 1941 is required, for eac province or district. Weichan123 (talk) 07:24, 29 June 2025 (UTC) Reply

- The Demographics section contains 11 census details that are quite extensive. Per GA criterion 3 - the article should stay focused without going into unnecessary detail. A lot of this information could be summarized in writing with one or two key tables. The rest of the census tables could be removed or moved to a separate page. Chilicave (talk)
- I have merged the census data from 1901 to 2017 in a single table Weichan123 (talk)
→ Well Written
- In the lead
- 2.17% of the Pakistani population, or over 5.2 million Pakistanis is repeated twice. I would remove the repetition.
- Prior to the partition of India, according to the 1941 census, Hindus constituted 14.6% of the population in West Pakistan (contemporary Pakistan)[a] and 28% of the population in East Pakistan (contemporary Bangladesh). This sentence is copy-pasted from the body of the article. Would be best to summarize it in the lead instead of copying word for word as per WP:SUMMARY. The same applies to this sentence as well: And in the first census afterward (1951), Hindus made up 1.6% of the total population of West Pakistan, and 22% of East Pakistan.
- The third paragraph is extremely detailed and a lot can be trimmed and summarized. For example, Many Hindus, especially in the rural areas, follow the teachings of local Sufi pīrs (Urdu: spiritual guide) or adhere to the 14th-century saint Ramdevji, whose main temple Shri Ramdev Pir temple is located in Tando Allahyar. A growing number of urban Hindu youth in Pakistan associate themselves with ISKCON society.[19] Other communities worship manifold "Mother Goddesses" as their clan or family patrons.[24] A different branch, the Nanakpanth, follows the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib, also known as the holy book of the Sikhs. This could be summarized into one line. Chilicave (talk)
- In the lead section I have fixed the comments--Weichan123 (talk) 09:00, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Post-independence period:
- This line is a bit awkward and can be removed 5.5 m, Noted in 1941 Census of British India Province Balochistan, NWFP, Sindh, West Punjab and 0.5 Noted 1951 census of Pakistan) Or, you can add that bit of extra detail in a footnote.
- This line is not written in a neutral tone and should be rephrased. That over 1 million people lost their lives in the bloody violence of 1947 should attest to the fear and hate that filled the hearts of millions of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs who left ancestral homes hastily after independence. It can be changed to "Over 1 million people lost their lives in 1947, which led to the displacement of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs from their ancestral homes." Chilicave (talk)
- In the Post-Independence period section I have fixed the comments and expanded a little by mentioning some violence incidents that occured--Weichan123 (talk) 09:00, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Demography:
- Statistics are explained in too much detail. I would remove most of that since readers can consult the table for further information of the Hindu population. With the aid of reliable sources, I would briefly summarize how the population declined since 1947 and then mention what the current population is from recent census. Chilicave (talk)
- Summarised the demography section. Let me know if this still needs modifications--Weichan123 (talk) 09:55, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply

- Population Controversies:
- I'm not entirely sure if a table should be used in this context to highlight the population controversies from four sources. It can be explained in prose.Chilicave (talk)
- I deleted the table and merged the contents from the it to the prose--Weichan123 (talk) 09:38, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
